Mercedes-AMG E63 S Estate – Specs

Space meets elegance and unites with power. A whole lot of power! The Mercedes-AMG E63 4MATIC T-Modell is THE classic Mercedes estate car, soon available as a top-of-the-range AMG version. This means you can have a 4.0 litre V8 with matching performance you would expect and up to 612hp delivered to all four wheels. This is due to the fully variable all-wheel drive 4MATIC +, with helps the Mercedes-AMG E63 4Matic T sprint to 100kmph in just 3.5 to 3.6 seconds. That’s as fast as the AMG GT. Market launch arrives in June 2017. But until we get there, here are some facts to keep you hungry.

Compared to its predecessor, the engineers have really improved this car’s responsiveness. The AMG 9-speed sports transmission now switches unbelievably fast with no perceived lag.

The estate shows you at first glance that this Mercedes has been designed for an unrivalled driving experience. It’s completely different to the saloon from the ‘A’pillar back. For the first time in a T-model, the bonnet is embedded in the bumper and the wings. This design element comes from the Coupé and now brings the T-model more dynamism.

As with the E-Class T model, the Mercedes-AMG E63 4Matic also offers plenty of room, with 640 to 1,820l of load space. Using the cargo function of the seat backrests, you can also gain a further 30 litres.

We have already met the 4litre V8 engine in the sedan but it always excites. As the Mercedes-AMG E63 4Matic, you’ll get 571hp S. Add an ‘S’ to the name and you’ll get 612. Torque is 750 or 850 Nm between 2,500 and 4,500 rpm. This gives the T-model a sprint time of 3.5 to 3.6 seconds.

The Mercedes-AMG E63 4Matic T is all wheel drive as the name tells us. The newly designed, intelligent system offers a fully variable torque distribution between the front and rear axles, ensuring optimum traction under all conditions and more than enough space for anyone one or anything you could want to put in it.
